BurgessWood was conceived as a sustainable residential development co-existing harmoniously with nature, a peaceful country retreat with easy access to the amenities of Perth, Ontario. Residents share the exclusive recreational use of over 4,ooo feet of waterfront on the shores of Otty lake and 200 acres of common lands with a network of hiking trails .
Perth, a short ten kilometres away, offers a wide range of amenities, restaurants, shops and services, including a well-equipped hospital and an excellent library.
Residents take pride in the community and the efforts made to conserve the natural environment and beauty of the area. The Burgess-Wood Property Owners’ Association produced a brief history in 2012, co-authored by Roy MacSkimming and David Zimmerly, two long time residents.
