The lake area close to BurgessWood is ideal for swimming, canoeing and sailing.

BurgessWood has its own boat launch for power boat enthusiasts.   In addition, there is offered optional privately owned boat dockage which is controlled by the BurgessWood Association.  It is a fine facility in a sheltered area with space for expansion.  

The swimming areas include a shallow sandy beach for young children as well as an inviting deep water area with a deck.
